Deep Purple - Machine Head (Album)

This blog post is actually my recommendation to listen to this Rock n' Roll album. Its one of the most influential albums in rock history with its own story behind it. It was recorded back in the 70's ,actually 1971 was the year it happened.Frank Zappa's  concert at the Casino was made infamous when a member of the audience fired a flare gun and burned down the stage.I guess everything was made of wood in those days. This event actually affected Deep Purple on such a great level and they recorded this album in a few days. There is also a dvd featuring what actually happened here. Name of this dvd is Classic albums : Deep Purple - The Making of Machine Head. I recommend you all to listen to this album, it does not matter if you like rock n' roll music or not.
And yes,as one of my favorites i rate this album 10/10. Cheers.

  1. I've never listened to this album as a whole. Listen to certain songs from it! All of them were great! Good post!

  2. I read about that story in The Real Frank Zappa, crazy stuff. I haven't heard much of Deep Purple so I guess I'll go with this album as my first listen!

  3. That must be the band that did Smoke on the Water, only song I've ever heard from them.
